CAD inspection and Augmented Reality free webinar

3D Laser Scanning meets AR – See and interact in real time with 3D measurement results

Free Webinar Series: The Road to Virtual & Augmented Adoption.

Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing (SAM) Project are running a series of free online events looking at Virtual & Augmented Reality and how they can be applied and bring benefit to manufacturing and industrial contexts.

Throughout the series SAM will be joined by major solutions providers, giving insights into best practice, pathways to successful adoption whilst also demonstrating real-world case studies.

The fourth in the series ‘Road to Virtual & Augmented Adoption’ is on May 19th 10 – 10.45am, featuring Hexagon who will share their experience and insights in metrology, CAD inspection and latest innovations.

This is a re-arranged session originally planned for March 17th for further details contact: roger.thomas@sunderland.ac.uk

Hexagon will join the SAM team to focus on CAD inspection.  Hexagon will run a live demo of Polyworks Metrology Software including PolyworksAR, looking at advances in inspection and advances in visualizing this in AR on a Hololens.

This session will focus upon CAD inspection, some of the latest features and technical approaches.  Hexagon will run a live demo of Polyworks Metrology Software including PolyworksAR, looking at recent advances in inspection, advances and new ways of visualizing and ‘interacting’ with the data, in Augmented Reality on a Microsoft Hololens.

The demo will show how scan data can be overlaid on the original part and inspected in AR.

All sessions are free and include the opportunity for Q&A. Register using the SAM Eventbrite page.
