Advanced Manufacturing Technician

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a part time Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Technician to join our practical Technical Research and Development project delivery team. The Technician role is key to support our Technical specialists in the delivery of projects as well as maintaining and operating key manufacturing equipment.

Your experience in working within modern manufacturing environments or a range of machinery will be key to supporting the project with the wide range of equipment available to it. You will be required to undertake planned preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and support the operation and running of the advanced manufacturing facilities.

  • Production and manufacturing engineering using a wide range of best practice tools and techniques
  • Computer Aided Design
  • Computer Aided Manufacturing
  • Computer Aided Engineering
  • Materials
  • Simulation using Finite Element Analysis

Do you have experience in:

• Working in industry/with industrial clients
• Production and manufacturing engineering using a wide range of best practice tools and techniques
• technical knowledge and experience in the use of automation and robotic equipment such as:

Industrial 6 axis robots operating in manufacturing environments, and in particular welding and joining applications

Multi robot systems

Collaborative Robots

Sensing and vision systems linked to automation

Pick and place
